SAB project - Flevo Power Station Lelystad
In 2008, the construction began in Lelystad of the most modern, clean and energy efficient electricity power station in the world, for Electrabel (a subsidiary of GDF-SUEZ). The new power station comprises two steam and gas units (STEG) fuelled by natural gas, each with a capacity of 435 MW and an overall efficiency of 59%. The latter is unique in the world. The station’s performance in terms of low impact on the environment is also excellent. The Flevo Power Station will be supplying more than 1.6 million households with electricity from 2010 onwards.
Apart from the turbine hall, the new building consists of a gas receiving station, an office building and a workshop. In total there will be more than 35,000 m² of roofing and cladding, including 13,000 m² of trapezoidal profiles SAB 35/1035 in Colorcoat HPS200® Ultra in white. This large scale project has been made by Nedicom West.
